The presentations made to the CLDMS annual conference in Dundee in October 2012 are available here. On 18 October the theme was ‘Prevention and Early Intervention: Why Community Learning and Development can play a key role’. Statistics and Stories – report and CPD programme

CLDMS has published the report of the ‘Statistics and Stories’ project. This looked at current practice in gathering and using evidence. Also available is the CPD programme that has been developed as a result of that project. This can be used to help people make the best use of both quantitative and qualitative evidence.

A new report from Education Scotland has been endorsed by CLDMS as providing a clear, generally applicable definition of what it is that makes a CLD approach to adult learning distinctive.

Comments on possible Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill

Along with others, CLDMS has submitted ideas to Government for consideration before the formal consultation begins next year.
