CLD plans

Most local authority areas in Scotland now have a community learning and development (CLD) plan agreed, as a result of the 2013 CLD (Scotland) Regulations. They describe the work that the local authority and partners are doing to achieve two broad outcomes:

  • improved life chances for people of all ages, through learning, personal development and active citizenship
  • stronger, more resilient, supportive, influential and inclusive communities.

You can view the plans that are so far available here. Education Scotland, CLDMS, Youth Scotland, Youthlink, SCDC and Learning Link are working in partnership to look across the published plans and draw out key national priorities and areas of interest. The group will publish an interim report in January and will then run at least one event to discuss findings with the broader sector, with a particular focus on equality groups. The final report will be published by the end of March 2016
